Horses, Kids and Mr. Excitement

And they're off!!! (Music to my ears and death to my wallet) ... That announcement preceded by the sound of a bugle and parade of racehorses made for a fantastic weekend.

Each year the wonderful folks at Tampa Bay Downs host our USF Foundation Board, the USF Alumni Board and (this year) The USF Research Foundation Board to a day of racing and dining in the VIP Suite.

I lost a few pounds (or was that dollars) yesterday but it was well worth it. Thank you Stella!

We also took a few thousand little nieces and nephews to the movies. Well, there were only five ... just seemed like more with car seats, Chicken McNuggets, popcorn and trips to the bathroom.

We saw Rio 2. It's about a family of blue macaws that were just like The Fockers with feathers.

Had a ball and the kids were great.

Brought Sammy a pizza tonight and spent an hour cutting it into little pieces and painfully watching him gum it to death while he asked me 300 questions.

Oh well ... he's 93 and has a headache once in a while. I have headaches every day he has almost 30 years on me.

Don't forget to order HOME MOVIES!
